How to Feel More Grounded
If you want to feel more grounded, emotionally and psychologically, develop routines.
In Chinese medicine routines are linked to the earth element which supports the feeling of being nourished by mother earth and the universe.
This is also the element that dictates most of our stomach and digestive function.
When routines are there, which includes eating at the same time every day, the body feels relaxed and nourished because it knows what the flow is.
Routines and earth element basically help to generate a feeling of trust psychologically.
A trust in life and a trust of oneself that all is well and will be well.
When we lack routines the earth element tends to go out of whack and worry and anxiety kick in.
We feel unstable & unsupported by life which leads to the body not knowing what is happening and what to prepare for.
While it is possible to get stuck and stagnant in routine lifestyle, more often than not, routines are helpful and psychologically stabilising.
And, routines can also help us to achieve grand goals (like learning a new language) because the routines keep us consistent in the practice.
During these times it's a good idea to develop some simple daily routines and stick to them because they will help you feel psychologically stable and strong while the world changes around you.
It will also help with digestive function.
